St. Paul Triathlon Examiner…

Hi local tri clubs, race directors, athletic organizations, etc:

My name is Steve Stenzel (AKA “Steve in a Speedo” in the blogging world).  I’ve been writing articles as the “St. Paul Triathlon Examiner” for Examiner.com since 2009, and that’s why I’m writing you.

If you have any news that local triathletes might care to read, I’d love to write an article about it.  (And I really like to use photos, so please send along images if possible!)

If you have any event, big group workout, big sale at the bike shop where you work, etc, I’d love to hear about it.  If you have a group of athletes qualify for Nationals or Clearwater or Kona, let me know.  Basically, if you have any news that other local “triathlon-minded” people should be made aware of, let me know – I might write an article about it.  I’d make sure to link to your organization in the article too.

Thanks everyone!  Enjoy this heat wave… sheesh…

(p.s.  In case you’re wondering, my Examiner page has gotten nearly 30,000 hits over the last 2 months, and a total of nearly 70,000 hits this year.  I sometimes cross-promote my Examiner articles on my blog, which usually gets between 40-45,000 hits / month, and has had over 325,000 hit so far this year.)

Mosquitoman Duathon!

Who? Anyone with access to a bike and shoes

What? A unique (first ever) Run, Bike, Run, Bike, Run duathlon

Where? Orono School Complex: Wayzata Blvd & Old Crystal Bay Rd

When? Saturday Sept 4th (Labor Day Weekend) 8 AM

Why? A professionally run, chipped timed multisport race for $25!  Why not?!

Come join us for the Inaugural ”Mosquitoman Duathlon” this Saturday Sept 4th in Orono (just down the street from the shop).   If you’re anything like us, you’re getting sick and tired of the out of control entry fees for some of these races!   So we thought, are we able to put on a professionally run, chipped timed multisport race for $25?    The answer is yes.   Will you get a sweet techie race t-shirt?  No!  Will there be a giant post race smorgesborg?  Heck no!   Will it be loads of fun with a wide range of abilities?  Oh Yeah!    It’s offered as both an individual race and a 2 person “team time trial” format (do the whole race with a friend).  Sign up now, as we’re capping it at 200!
